Metro City Kids
Now Celebrating 51 years in Active Children's ministry.
Metro City Kids is an outreach ministry of "Children's Ministry International", which is a 501(C)(3) tax exempt ministry. This Home Missions evangelistic children's ministry is operated by Pastor Dr. Terry Horn (often referred to as "Uncle Sam") and his wife Rev. Cynthia Horn. Metro City Kids is a multimedia faith based mobile Sidewalk Kids Church bringing the powerful life changing gospel message of Christ's Love, Hope and Healing to the poverty stricken inner city children of Jacksonville, Florida. Inner city ministry isn't new to the Horn's, They have conducted inner city kids ministry in Ft.Worth,Tx., Dallas,Tx., Springfield,Mo., Nashville,Tn., New York City and 21 years in Washington DC where they started the DC DreamCenter. Over that period of time the DC DreamCenter fed over 30,000 people, and gave away 525 pairs of new shoes and thousands of Christmas toys were given out to the children. Also, hundreds kids came to know Christ as their redeemer through this urban ministry.
Then in 2011, believing it was God's will for a relocation and in obedience to the heart of God, the Horn's moved to Jacksonville, Fl. Bringing with them that same drive and desire with a greater vision for ministry to the kids and families who live in Public Housing of Jacksonville. Within a few days the Horn's found themselves planted right in the mist of the one of the worst public housing site in all of Jacksonville, Cleveland Arms, nick-named "The Rock" because of the high volume of rock cocaine that was being sold there. Example, just before the ending of 2019 there had been over 85 deaths on or within a quarter mile radius of this property from murders, suicide and drug related encounters. For a year and a half the Horn's concentrated on that one project and started the "Metro Stars" teen ministry. Metro Stars had such a successful impact for Jesus in the lives of over 75 teens living at Cleveland Arms. Today, Metro City Kids continues to ministry in the area around the Cleveland Arms complex now called "Vista Landing".
After the first five years of ministry in Jacksonville Public Housing, juvenile crime drop by 40% on the properties where Metro City Kids minister at, according to the Duval County Sheriffs Dept. Today Metro City Kids ministers on several different public housing sites and soon to add a couple more properties with the life changing message of Christ through its Sidewalk Kids Church. The whole goal of Metro City Kids is to connect these kids to Christ, encourage and empower them through Prayer, Bible based material and weekly evangelism along with Godly mentoring which will help these kids learn to successfully live the Christian life style right in there own neighborhoods.

American Rail Kids Club is helping to "Keep kids on the Right Track in Life". America Rail Kids Club is a faith based inner city ministry outreach from Children's Ministry International (CMI) of Jacksonville, Florida, operated by Pastors Terry and Cynthia Horn. Our goal is to teach kids the ability to be the Engineer/Operator by mastering the skills of model railroading. All of which leads to the excitement, fun and thrill of this all American hobby. Plus, the Children are taught Good Citizenship along with Biblical Moral Values.
To support our Kids ministry, we are available to bring our trains to you. For a fee we can bring our G Scale and O Gauge trains to your place of Business or to a local Church for special celebrations and good ole Family Fun. Holidays are great time when it comes to trains, everyone loves a Christmas Train.
